Owning It Outright

I swear by all thatโ€™s holy, I would bare knuckle brawl with the devil himself, to win that womanโ€™s heart. Fortunately the winning of her heart did not require such a feat and just as well. For such a tussle is one I am less than confident I could win outright.

Now if only I could manage the patience and forbearance required, for those less heroic deeds which mundane reality demands. I might prove myself worthy of that heart as won and deserving of that prize.
